If You Apply Conservative Principles And You Stick With It, And You Have The Leadership Skills To Bring People Toward The Cause, You Can Move The Needle On These Things, I Reject The Notion That We Can't Solve Problems, That The Gridlock Is Too Enormous To Forge Consensus. It Requires Some Creativity To Get To A Win For Everybody.

There's 6 Million People Living In Poverty Today, More Than When Barack Obama Got Elected. 6.5 Million People Are Working Part-time, Most Of Whom Want To Work Full-time. We've Created Rules And Taxes On Top Of Every Aspiration Of People, And The Net Result Is We're Not Growing Fast, Income Is Not Growing.

A Third Of Our Kids, After We Spend More Per Student Than Any Country In The World Other Than A Couple Rounding Errors, 30 Percent Are College- And/or Career-ready.

Everything's Viewed With A Political Lens In Washington, And That's Just The Nature Of The Beast, And It Is What It Is.
