We All Grew Up On The Fairy Tale "seeping Beauty," Which Instructs Young Women That If They Just Wait For Their Prince To Arrive, They Will Be Kissed And Whisked Away On A White Horse To Live Happily Ever After. Now Young Women Are Told That If They Can Just Find The Right Mentor, They Will Be Pushed Up The Ladder And Whisked Away To The Corner Office To Live Happily Ever After. Once Again, We Are Teaching Women To Be Too Dependent On Others.

I'm Not Pretending I Can Give Advice To Every Single Person Or Every Single Couple For Every Situation; I'm Making The Point That We Are Not Going To Get To Equality In The Workforce Before We Get To Equality In The Home. Not Going To Happen.

We Can Each Define Ambition And Progress For Ourselves. The Goal Is To Work Toward A World Where Expectations Are Not Set By The Stereotypes That Hold Us Back, But By Our Personal Passion, Talents And Interests.
