Indeed, The Whole Of Human History Should Be Interpreted In The Light Of This Certainty. Every Person, Created In The Image And Likeness Of God (cf. Gn 1:26 28), Is Therefore Radically Oriented Towards The Creator, And Is Constantly In Relationship With Those Possessed Of The Same Dignity. To Promote The Good Of The Individual Is Thus To Serve The Common Good, Which Is That Point Where Rights And Duties Converge And Reinforce One Another.

From Now On It Is Only Through A Conscious Choice And Through A Deliberate Policy That Humanity Can Survive.

Let Science Tell Us What And How. Let Religion Tell Us Who And Why.

The Most Urgent Task Is That Of The Biblical And Liturgical Formation Of The People Of God.

Consequently, Theories Of Evolution Which, In Accordance With The Philosophies Inspiring Them, Consider The Mind As Emerging From The Forces Of Living Matter, Or As A Mere Epiphenomenon Of This Matter, Are Incompatible With The Truth About Man. Nor Are They Able To Ground The Dignity Of The Person.
