I No Longer See Descartes' Statement As Arbitrary. It Is Representative Of Our Culture's Narcissism. This Narcissism Leads To A Disturbing Disrespect For Direct Experience And A Negation Of The Body.

Civilization Is Not And Can Never Be Sustainable.
