I Don't Really Approach A Character As To Whether Or Not It's Good Or Bad. I Just Approach A Character As To Where It Lives In Me.

While We Were Shooting The Movie, We Shot In The Actual Hotel In Hong Kong Where It All Went Down, The Mira Hotel. Laura Poitras Was Coming To Hong Kong To Do A Screening Of Citizenfour, And She Ended Up Staying At The Mira Hotel. It Was Her First Time Back In Hong Kong, And I Ran Into Her In The Elevator. Literally I Had Just Finished Shooting One Day, And I Came Back To The Hotel And She Was In The Elevator.

I Recognized That I Had A Window Of Opportunity That Had Opened Because Of My Exposure As An Actor.

I Came Back And Decided That I Wanted To Go To College For Acting And Got My Family On Board. My Mom, Who Was A Single Mom, Was A Little Reticent, But I Think After That Summer [in The Governor's School], She Saw A Shift In Me And Realized That It Was Something I Wanted More Than Just A Hobby.

I Love When You Aren't Accountable To Anybody Or Anything, And You Can Just Be Wherever You Are.
