Deficits, As I've Often Said, Aren't Caused

I Just Have To Believe That With Love For Our Natural Heritage And A Firm Resolve To Preserve It With Wisdom And Care, We Can And Will Give The American Land To Our Children, Not Impaired, But Enhanced. And In Doing This, We'll Honor The Great And Loving God Who Gave Us This Land In The First Place.

It's Been Written That The Most Sublime Figure In American History Was George Washington On His Knees In The Snow At Valley Forge. He Personified A People Who Knew That It Was Not Enough To Depend On Their Own Courage And Goodness, That They Must Also Seek Help From God - Their Father And Preserver. Where Did We Begin To Lose Sight Of That Noble Beginning, Of Our Conviction That Standards Of Right And Wrong Do Exist And Must Be Lived Up To? Do We Really Think That We Can Have It Both Ways, That God Will Protect Us In A Time Of Crisis Even As We Turn Away From Him In Our Day-to-day Life?

Well, My Head's Full Of Questions My Temp'rature's Risin' Fast Well, I'm Lookin' For Some Answers But I Don't Know Who To Ask

For Decades, We Have Piled Deficit Upon Deficit, Mortgaging Our Future And Our Children's Future For The Temporary Convenience Of The Present. To Continue This Long Trend Is To Guarantee Tremendous Social, Cultural, Political, And Economic Upheavals. You And I, As Individuals, Can, By Borrowing, Live Beyond Our Means, But For Only A Limited Period Of Time. Why, Then, Should We Think That Collectively, As A Nation, We Are Not Bound By That Same Limitation?

The Torch Of Liberty Is Hot; Warms Those Who Hold It High; Burns Those Who Try To Extinguish It.
